Hi guys,
I'm new here. Actually I'm not really an Action Man collector like you guys but I recently found/bought a nice collection of vintage action men. I really like old toys in general and when I saw these I was stunned by the quality and detail of the figures.
I'll be asking some questions about some gear in the collection later. But I would really like to know if anybody has some info on the case it came in. It's a green (army)suitcase that has a sticker that says 'Action Man Special Mission'. In small print is says '1975 Belgium'. On the inside there's a discription of what should be in the case to fulfill the secret mission.
Did anybody ever see a case like this? Could it be something like a shop display or a special series or is it just some kid's handywork?
I'd like to know your opinion.

Indeed, its what its says on the tin - thought to be a european issue item only - mid 70s - fairly hard to find, they do crop up though

I've seen a couple of these at the action figure shows (or it may have been the same one at two different shows
). I'm fairly sure it was on a stall run by a guy from Europe.

How big is it? Is it a full sized suitcase? Or a mini sized? Could you take a photo with it next to a pop can or something common? Could the stickers be from a storage locker? They look too big. My guess would be that it's a salesman's sample case for showing to prospective retail clients. Pretty cool. I never seen one before, either.

This should give you an idea of the size.
I'm not gonna put it on Ebay. I'm actually thinking of collecting all the items that should be in the case. Hardly any of them where in there so it will not be easy and cheap. I'll probably put some outfits/AM for sale soon to finance the search.

Thanks for all these swift replies allready

I'm sorry to say this one is going on ebay afterall. I just bought a job lot of Mask toys (being born in 1978 those have a larger sentimental value to me than AM) and I need the funds. For those who are interested... lot numbers are 110454162035 and 110453934597
cheers guys

Ive got one of those had it about 3 years now.
Mine has the two plastics trays with it which each hold 2 men plus space for uniforms etc.
Use mine for spares storage and used to take it to swap meets.

It would be nice if you could post some pics of it. I guessed these would have some sort of tray inside but was never sure.
