hi m8  they look funny LOL  ... how big are they next to action man .???? if you go on fee bay .. and put in german in the search .. and click on action figuers  they sometime come up  and try it in world wide .. as the few i seen have been from hong wong  LOL   .. alsoi have  seen Himler a few times on fee bay uk in a black box all crossed out .. !!!!just under german war crimminal  !!!...

These are figures thats all, surely if you feel like this then all military figures are in poor taste.

This is presisely the attitude that brought a halt to the production of military toys in my era. I really dont believe in this P C censorship crap. If i like a figure because of its craft etc then who am i offending ? i dont think many people that are quite rightly being remembered Sunday will be viewing this forum and if it offends the relations of them and they are veiwing the forum then maybe a military based forum is not the ideal place for them to be ? I have children aged between 16 and well a few days old (lol) I found this figure a great help when i explained the facts of WW2 to my eldest when he was studying this period at school i told him what a evil tyrant and murderer he was and it was in fact this sort of censorship that he would have relished in (Proparganda). People need to hear the full story to get the full picture.

It was only last week the BNP leader was on telly and people were protesting when all the divvy twat done was show his honest self which is stupid racsist and totally out of touch and purely from his aired views people saw what a fool he was and he lost considerable steam. He was voted in by the public tho and surely this goes to show what can come from people that dont know and have been denied the whole picture ? they end up only getting halve truths and therefore being duped.

Anyway i have gone off tangent slightly and like i said before im sorry if you find this in bad taste but i think you would benefit much more if you adopted a much less narrowminded view, the total ban of anything german or hitler related would in my opinion distort the truth and not educate properly this is the main reason that children develop rascist feelings its poor education.

And as ive said this is a site predominently aimed at ww2 figures sooner or later Hitler the Germans and all his disgusting henchmen will come up. Dont ruin a great hobby just because of the display of a swastika or the sight of an evil rascist dictator the swastika was a symbol of peace before Hitler stole and then resold it and he was only voted in because he controlled what was allowed to be seen and said and heard in public.

Its a great hobby and one where you learn alot about all military uniforms events etc and as a kid this pushed me to read about our heroes often very unsung heroes and when i see any ww2 stuff even anything German it makes me proud that our boys fought for our freedom (Freedom of speech freedom of free thought and the right to be an individual) so if anything offends you then its your right to not look at it, its not your right to pressure people to your beliefs and in anyway make someone feel as uncomfortable as you do.

The two  figures that I have posted are from my Chas.C.Stadden collection...these are classed as 'high-end' military collectibles and where presented to the Army!!...hang about...will these appease you??...(this next photograph is of some of the rest of my collection...I wonder if the two previous figures were amoungst them you would be so offended)....I don't usually pit my tuppence-worth into these arguments/debates
 due to the fact that most of us have a German Stormtrooper or two in our collections.....

The last thing i want is to have an all out argument on the forum untill now i have found this a friendly helpful place for collectors and i have always tried to be friendly and as helpful as i can back cos i think thats how these places work and blossom into the fantastic forum that it is.

Shame. because I thought you made some superb points Dan - text-book stuff.  I've been in the armed forces so I have done my bit for "freedom" and I didn't take any offence at the pictures and I agreed with everything you said. If you gloss over the facts then stuff gets forgotten and "those who ignore history are doomed to repeat it" as the saying goes.
 
I was watching this thread because I had a feeling it was going to get heated. Nobody did anything wrong, not even the Romans. I thought it was a good intellectual discussion and hadn't even reached the point of becoming a debate. Shame but there you go.
