Very cool! I have dabbled with TG over the years (oo-er!!)
But because I never had it as a kid, don't really need it now!
But I DO like it a lot!
Used to get a lot of TG stuff back in the day mixed in with
VAM stuff.

Wow, superb - I;ve been lucky enough to see that in the flesh so to speak and if Dave can take his VAM colleciton too would be cool , as that is something to really drool over.

Many thanks for the comments. The pictures didn't come out as well as I had hoped- I think I was trying to group too much in one shot!!
Funnily enough, I had a Tommy Gunn before an Action Man - shows how old I am, as they were only made between 66 and 68!! Once again, I am trying mission impossible - I would like to collect all the range in carded form!! Thus far I am about 75% there, but seeing as there is only one known example of a carded Tommy Gunn Royal Marine (and that was recently sold as part of the modellers loft collection to Mr Clinton Cards) I suspect I will have a very long wait!! Still - that is the fun of it - isn't it.??!!![]()

Did you get those 3 cards off ebay last month Dave? - thought they went for very reasonable prices them - and mate, was meaning to ask at the show, but that TG book you had at the show had someones name on the cover - Karl Plumridge? - the one I got was off the author Simon Mole, why the name change? - just curious

Hi dave. nice collection mate. I love the TG stuff and have a few figures myself. para, medic, soldier, comms, Zodiac spaceman and late issue para. Daren has gotten the odd peice or two of you to pass on to me in the past. many thanks I was lucky enough to see ML's display whilst I was in the UK. Mighty impressive. Yours is well on the way mate. good stuff.

Brilliant collection m8 and as for 75% Tommy Gunn
youve already done really well. I never see the point in buying a whole collection like Mr Cards did from moddlers loft as then i think it loses its appeal of collectability i like the feeling when you get the very last piece to a uniform or upgrade etc etc
Would love to see the Accy collection tho ![]()
I have finally dug out my tommy gunn stuff i will send you a piccy over the weekend see if you can tell me a bit more about it may even bring it down and swap you for some accy stuff ???? ![]()

Hi Heith
In response to your question about whether I got the 3 cards from ebay, the answer is sort of!! I bid on all 3, but only won one. However, somebody else bought the other 2 to sell to me, so they ended up with me anyway (albeit at a little more that I should have paid)!!!!
Dan - Looking forward to seeing your Tommy Gunn spares.

Hi Heith
I forgot to answer the question about the books. There are actually 2 books. The one by Simon Mole that you mention (which I have too) but the one I brought to Cheshunt was by Karl Plummeridge with some photos by VAME's own Tommy Gunn 900. The second book (the one I had at the show) also has some picture of the later Zodiac Tommy Gunn stuff (which Simon Mole's book doesn't cover). Does that help??

Sorry if its a bit of topic but you have the same cabinets as me and i was wondering, are those low wattage lights you have fitted to those cabinets and did you buy them anywhere special ? I was gonna put lights in my cabinets but i was really worried it might fade the clothes on my men ???
Hope i have'nt freaked you out lol

The lights cost £10 for the 2 from IKEA and they are low wattage (the cabinets were also from IKEA - £35 each).
