Fantastic day on ebay
Not only did I get the Kettenkrad I wanted but this little guy turned up
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/261012948173?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1497.l2649#ht_500wt_1379 I don't think she knew what she had and at 22 pounds wow just needs restringing. Is there anyone here who could do it obviously I will pay for materials, postage and labour cheers Phil
you gotta learn to do it yourself mate. wont be the last and its quite easy. there will be repair threads on the site togive you help.
It really is easy. I've a neurological disability and have problems with dexterity and I was able to re-string my childhood Tom Stone. Bye the way that was quite some catch no wonder your chuffed.
Go for the restraining once you've done it your confidence will rise and you'll be able to do more repairs.

My word that's some find Phil, nice one fella!
Hi, many thanks everyone, I am well pleased I just think I need to get him a neck post (about £4.00) and then I will give it a go at rebuilding him. I have looked at posts on how to repair him that are on this site though I only asked about others helping as I would rather hone my skills on something that is in a far worse condition than him so cue lots of swearing and shouting lol.
If you have any queries when you are re-stringing him I'm happy for you to PM me. Tom Stone was my first attempt at repairing Action man, he was my only childhood figure left and the satisfaction on seeing him daily in my cabinet is huge. The repair guides were very helpful and when I got stuck removing the neck cone loads of help was just at the click of a button.
Great price by the way.

what a smashing find Phil, well done mate
that's a great tips page Ade
Nice one Ade many thanks that should make life a lot easier
Many thanks too Dal and Sparky will no doubt be pm-ing you very soon lol
Hi Mate. Tom Stone uses A different method of connecting to most of the other figures. Only Tom stone and bullet man are the same. The problem is the forearms also come away with Tom Stone. I've just checked the web and can't find the repair guide link. I've got a hard copy which I'll happily post you. Only prob is we're moving house tomorrow so might need a couple of weeks to dig it out. PM me your addres if you can wait that long!!!!
Cheers

Thanks Daz and Sparky have had a look at the link and looks very useful. Very true about Tom being expensive I have a Walmart version of him which is pretty good especially for a tenner, though he has the old style body and nothing quite compares to the original. Are you going to put a bid in for him?
No i have 4 an 2 halfs was wondering how much they sell for i will be taking 2 to the vame meet
.
Nice one will see you there really looking forward to going but am under strict orders to leave my wallet at home.
Thats sound advice. money belts are much safer
.
